曹其新，男，1960年6月出生，上海交通大学长聘教授，97年3月获得日本鹿儿岛大学博士学位，99年5月上海交通大学博士后出站，98年2月-00年2月日本学术振兴会特别研究员，03年-08年任上海交通大学机器人研究所常务副所长，08年-15年任上海交通大学工程训练中心主任，现任生物医学制造与生命质量工程研究所所长，兼任日本宫崎大学与日本电气通信大学客座教授。主要从事机器视觉、泛在机器人技术、医疗机器人以及农业机器人研究。发表（EI&SCI)论文120多篇，获得国家发明专利85项。指导学生连续三年在中国机器人大赛上获得了Robocup足球机器人中型组2对2的项目冠军，获得全国大学生“挑战杯”特等奖1项。科研成果获国家科技进步二等奖1项，中国人工智能学会吴文俊人工智能科学技术进步一等奖1项，省部级科技奖项5项；获国家级教学成果二等奖2项，省部级教学成果奖5项。

Qixin Cao received a Ph.D. degree in Agricultural Engineering, Kagoshima University, Japan, in 1997. Research Fellowship for Young Scientist of Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, in 1998-2000. Since 2000, he has been working as a professor at the school of mechanical engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His current research interests include Machine vision, Ubiquitous robotics, Autonomous Mobile Robot and Medical robot. Prof. Cao has achieved a number of awards including the National Science and Technology Progress Award and the National Teaching Achievement Award. He has published over 120 papers and been authorized 85 invention patents.
